Air Fried Olives ~
Pimento-stuffed green olives are coated in batter then air fried for a healthier alternative to traditional pan-fried olives.
A quick and easy appetizer ready to serve in about 15 minutes!
I can’t stop eating these olives.
The brininess of the green olives with the savoriness of seasoned bread crumbs and vegan parmesan is completely addictive!
These will be great for New Year’s Eve or snacking on Game Day!
Ingredients for Air Fried Olives:
- all-purpose flour – Make it gluten-free with arrowroot flour.
- unsweetened almond milk
- Italian-style Panko bread crumbs
- vegan Parmesan cheese
- pimento-stuffed green olives – For a spicy kick, try jalapeno-stuffed olives!
- non-stick cooking spray
How to make Fried Olives:
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F.
Set up your dredging station. Arrange three small-size mixing bowls in a row. To the first bowl, add the flour. To the second bowl, add the unsweetened almond milk. In the third bowl, combine Panko bread crumbs and vegan Parmesan cheese.
Batter the olives. Working with a few olives at a time, coat them first in flour, then in almond milk, and finally in the bread crumb mixture.
Get ready to air fry. Into the preheated air fryer basket, arrange battered olives in an even layer. You may need to work in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer. Lightly spray the tops of the olives with non-stick cooking spray.
Cook for 6 minutes, shaking the basket to roll the olives around halfway through the cooking time.
Serve warm or room temperature.
Cheers!
