Green Olive Dip ~
This easy appetizer is a crowd favorite with olive lovers and a great way to use up that extra jar of olives in the pantry!
Serve with pita chips, toast points, or fresh veggies.
Green Olive Dip Recipe
I like this easy recipe because it’s made with simple ingredients and packed with olive flavor. This creamy dip can also be used as a sandwich spread for tea sandwiches, adding a burst of zesty flavor.
The Best Olives to Use
- This delicious dip is all about briny flavors and the easiest way is to use salty olives, such as Manzanilla olives or Castelvetrano olives. Black or kalamata olives are not recommended for this recipe. (Black olives are too mild and kalamata will give the dip an unattractive purplish tint.)
Quick Tips
- Use a food processor to make quick work of chopping the olives.
- An olive pitter is a helpful gadget to have on hand for those times when you accidentally purchase pitted olives. And why pitted olives are even an option anymore is a mystery to me. Who is actually looking for those?
Ingredients for Green Olive Dip
You will need the following:
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
