Ingredients for Barbeque Tempeh
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 16 ounces tempeh, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup barbeque sauce
- 1/2 cup water
How to Make Barbeque Tempeh
STEP ONE: Into a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil. When the oil is hot add cubed tempeh, salt, and pepper.
STEP TWO: Cook for 3 minutes, gently turning frequently, until tempeh is browned on all sides.
STEP THREE: Stir in the barbeque sauce and water. Continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes, until the sauce is reduced, turning the tempeh to fully coat.
STEP FOUR: Remove from heat and serve hot.
