Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce
Is it even Thanksgiving without cranberry sauce?
This classic sauce, rich with the seasonal flavors of fresh cranberries, orange, and allspice, is the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving menu!
Ingredients for Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce:
- cranberry juice
- granulated sugar
- dried cranberries
- fresh cranberries
- orange marmalade
- orange juice
- orange zest
- ground allspice
How to make Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce:
Into a large pot over medium heat, add cranberry juice and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add fresh cranberries and dried cranberries. Cook, stirring frequently, 10-15 minutes, until cranberries are softened and most of the fresh ones have popped. Remove from heat.
Add orange marmalade, orange juice, orange zest, and allspice. Stir gently to combine.
Allow to cool completely. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, or until set and chilled throughout.
Serve cool.
Can I make this in advance?
Yes! While the sauce can be served after chilling for a few hours, I’m convinced it only gets better after a day or two in the fridge.
Cheers!
