Pan Fried Broccoli Recipe

I like this recipe because all you need is fresh broccoli and a few very simple ingredients. There are no complicated steps involved or fancy equipment needed; just a large skillet with a lid and a spatula to move the broccoli around as needed.

Skillet Broccoli with Garlic ~ A quick and easy method for vibrant and flavorful pan-fried broccoli that yields perfectly crisp-tender results in just 10 minutes!

Ingredients for Skillet Broccoli with Garlic

You will need:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound broccoli florets, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced

Ingredient Notes

  • Olive Oil – The mild flavor and hiighh heat tolerance oil makes iit a good choice for this recipe.
  • Broccoli Florets – Fresh is best for pan searing. Frozen broccoli, even it it’s been thawed, will not get the crisp tender texture we want for this dish.
  • Salt – The amount given is a guide; adjust accordiingly for personal taste or dietary restriction.
  • Water – Vegetable broth or vegan chicken-style broth can also used in an equal amount. I prefer using water here because it adds moisture while still letting the flavor of the broccoli shine through.
  • Garlic – Elevates this simple dish without overpowering the broccoli.

STEP TWO: Add water and cover. Continue cooking for 2 more minutes, until broccoli is steamed and bright green in color.

STEP THREE: Remove the lid and stir in the garlic. Continue cooking for an additional 30 seconds then remove from heat and serve hot.
