Pan Fried Broccoli Recipe
I like this recipe because all you need is fresh broccoli and a few very simple ingredients. There are no complicated steps involved or fancy equipment needed; just a large skillet with a lid and a spatula to move the broccoli around as needed.
Ingredients for Skillet Broccoli with Garlic
You will need:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound broccoli florets, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
Ingredient Notes
- Olive Oil – The mild flavor and hiighh heat tolerance oil makes iit a good choice for this recipe.
- Broccoli Florets – Fresh is best for pan searing. Frozen broccoli, even it it’s been thawed, will not get the crisp tender texture we want for this dish.
- Salt – The amount given is a guide; adjust accordiingly for personal taste or dietary restriction.
- Water – Vegetable broth or vegan chicken-style broth can also used in an equal amount. I prefer using water here because it adds moisture while still letting the flavor of the broccoli shine through.
- Garlic – Elevates this simple dish without overpowering the broccoli.
