No fondue pot? No problem!

This fondue can just as easily be made in a saucepan on the stovetop then served warm.

Dippers for Chocolate Fondue

The possibilities are endless! These are some of our favorites for dipping in chocolate:

  • Fresh fruit – strawberries, kiwi, bananas, grapes, pineapples, and oranges all pair well with chocolate.
  • Vegan marshmallows – Trader Joe’s brand is my favorite.
  • Oreos – Check the label; many varieties are vegan (including Original and Double Stuf) but some are not.
  • Potato chips – If you have not yet tried potato chips dipped in chocolate, you are missing out, my friend!

Ingredients for Vegan Chocolate Fondue

  • semi-sweet vegan chocolate chips
  • vegan butter
  • water
  • vegan sweetened condensed coconut milk
  • vanilla bean paste – or vanilla extract
  • tapioca starch – cornstarch will also work

How to make Vegan Chocolate Fondue

Combine fondue ingredients. Into an electric fondue pot set on medium heat or a medium-size saucepan on the stovetop, add chocolate chips, butter, sweetened condensed milk, water, and vanilla bean paste.

Allow chocolate and butter to melt. Stir frequently until chocolate and butter are melted and the overall consistency is smooth.

Thicken the fondue. Stir in tapioca starch and continue cooking until smooth and thickened.

Serve warm from the fondue pot or a separate dish. Reduce heat to the lowest setting and serve immediately with your favorite dippers.

Enjoy!
