Frozen Peas Side Dish

With just a handful of ingredients, this recipe takes an ordinary bag of frozen green peas to a whole new level of deliciousness. The combination of zesty lemon pepper and savory herbs pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the peas, creating a refreshing and light dish that can be served warm or cold, perfect for all your spring and summer gatherings.

Lemon Herb Green Peas Recipe ~ An easy way to elevate frozen peas with the bright flavors of lemon and fresh herbs!

Ingredients for Lemon Herb Green Peas

You will need:

  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen green peas
  • 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chives, chopped

How to Make Lemon Herb Green Peas

STEP ONE: Place frozen peas into a medium bowl then fill the bowl with cold water to cover the peas. Allow peas to soak for 20 minutes, until thawed. Drain and set aside.

STEP TWO: Into a skillet over medium heat, add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the thawed peas, lemon pepper seasoning, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently until heated through.

STEP THREE: Remove from heat then stir in the dill and chives. Adjust seasoning to taste then serve warm.
