A Summertime Classic

Summer is here, and that calls for all the classic picnic and potluck favorites we love! This has been my go-to recipe for baked beans for years. It’s so easy to make and perfect for Father’s Day weekend or the 4th of July!

No Soaking Required!

The beauty of this recipe is in its simplicity.

We’re taking the shortcut and using canned beans, skipping the overnight soaking of beans. Then, all you have to do is dress them up with the addition of a few simple ingredients you likely already have on hand, bake for an hour, and that’s it- so easy!

How to Make BBQ Baked Beans

STEP ONE: Prep. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

STEP TWO: Combine Ingredients. In a medium-size mixing bowl, stir together the beans, brown sugar, yellow onion, ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and red wine vinegar.

STEP THREE: Bake the Beans. Transfer the bean mixture to an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour.

STEP FOUR: Remove the beans from the oven and allow them to rest for about 20 minutes. The sauce will thicken as it stands. Give the beans a good stir then serve.

  • Spicy Grilled Cauliflower Kabobs
  • Coleslaw Pasta Salad
  • Grilled Potato Skewers
  • Juicy Lucy Burger
  • Fried Green Tomatoes
