Ingredients for Green Peas:

16 ounces frozen peas

2 tablespoons vegan butter

1/4 cup yellow onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Green Peas ~ Boost the flavor of a bag of frozen peas with sauteed onions, garlic, and simple seasonings. An easy and classic side dish that works with a variety of cuisines.

How to make Green Peas:

Into a medium-size bowl, add the frozen peas. Fill the bowl with cold water to cover the peas.

Allow peas to soak for 20 minutes to thaw. Drain well.

Into a large skillet over medium heat, add the vegan butter.

When the butter is melted, add the onion. Cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently until softened. 

Add garlic and continue cooking an additional 1 minute.

Add peas, sea salt, and ground black pepper.

Stir and cook peas for 5 minutes to heat through. 

Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serve hot.
