Skillet Broccoli with Garlic Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound broccoli florets cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced

Instructions

  • Set a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. When the oil is hot add broccoli florets in an even layer. Sprinkle with salt. Cook without stirring for 2 minutes, until broccoli begins to lightly brown in places.
  • Add water and cover. Continue cooking for 2 more minutes, until broccoli is steamed and bright green in color.
  • Remove the lid and stir in the garlic. Continue cooking for an additional 30 seconds then remove from heat and serve hot.
