Set a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add the sliced sausages in an even layer. Cook for 4 minutes, until browned on each side, turning the sausage slices halfway during the cooking time. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set them aside. Do not wipe out the skillet.
Into the skillet, add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the onion. Cook for 2 minutes, until softened.
Add the garlic and continue cooking for an additional 30 seconds.
Add cabbage, salt, and pepper.
Reduce heat to medium then cover and cook for 3 minutes, until cabbage is wilted.
Stir in the cooked sausage. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
