- Set a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add the sliced sausages in an even layer. Cook for 4 minutes, until browned on each side, turning the sausage slices halfway during the cooking time. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set them aside. Do not wipe out the skillet. 
- Into the skillet, add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the onion. Cook for 2 minutes, until softened. 
- Add the garlic and continue cooking for an additional 30 seconds. 
- Add cabbage, salt, and pepper. 
- Reduce heat to medium then cover and cook for 3 minutes, until cabbage is wilted. 
- Stir in the cooked sausage. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
