Ingredients

  • 1 pound cauliflower florets
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2/3 cup Carolina Style BBQ Sauce divided - or your choice of barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees F.
  • While the air fryer is pre-heating: In a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened almond milk, sea salt, and ground black pepper.
  • Add the cauliflower florets and gently toss to coat. Wipe out the bowl; you will need it again.
  • In the air fryer basket, arrange cauliflower pieces in an even layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, cooking may need to be done in batches.
  • Air fry the cauliflower at 375 degrees F for 12 minutes.
  • Into the mixing bowl add 1/3 cup of the barbecue sauce. Add the cauliflower and gently toss to coat.
  • Return the cauliflower to the air fryer. Continue cooking for 12 more minutes.
  • To the mixing bowl, add the remaining 1/3 cup barbecue sauce. Again, add the cauliflower and gently toss to coat.
  • Return the cauliflower to the air fryer. Cook for 8-10 minutes more, until the cauliflower reaches desired level of crispiness.
