Combine the yeast, brown sugar, and warm water in a medium mixing bowl or stand mixer. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, until the yeast starts to bubble and foam.
Mix in the salt, olive oil, and flour.
Knead by hand or use a dough hook on medium-low speed until the dough is smooth, elastic, and no longer sticky.
Lightly oil a medium bowl and place the dough inside. Cover and let it rise for about an hour, until it has doubled in size.
Place a pizza stone in the oven and preheat to 425°F.
Punch down the dough, then form it into a ball and let it rest for 5 minutes. Roll it out on a lightly floured surface into your preferred shape.
Transfer the dough to the preheated pizza stone, add your favorite toppings, and bake for 15–20 minutes, until the crust is golden.
