- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound broccoli florets cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoons garlic minced
Set a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. When the oil is hot add broccoli florets in an even layer. Sprinkle with salt. Cook without stirring for 2 minutes, until broccoli begins to lightly brown in places.
Add water and cover. Continue cooking for 2 more minutes, until broccoli is steamed and bright green in color.
Remove the lid and stir in the garlic. Continue cooking for an additional 30 seconds then remove from heat and serve hot.
