Asian Lettuce Wraps

  • 1 pound vegan ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon tamari
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha hot chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup scallions chopped
  • 1-2 teaspoon dark sesame oil
  • whole lettuce leaves


  • Into a medium-size skillet over medium heat, crumble the vegan ground. Cook, stirring frequently until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Into the skillet, add the onion.  Cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  • Add the garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, rice wine vinegar, and sriracha hot chili sauce. Stir to combine.
  • Add the scallions, sesame oil, and vegan ground beef.
  • Continue cooking 3 minutes, until heated through.
  • Spoon into lettuce leaves and serve warm.
