Ingredients

  • 28 ounces extra-firm tofu pressed and torn into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Into a large mixing bowl, add paprika, ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, sea salt, smoked paprika, ground black pepper, and olive oil. Stir to combine.
  • Add tofu and toss gently to coat.
  • Onto the prepared baking sheet, arrange the tofu in an even layer. Keep the mixing bowl out.
  • Bake 35 minutes, turning halfway. Remove from the oven, leaving the oven on.
  • Into the mixing bowl, add the cooked tofu. Drizzle with barbecue sauce and toss gently to coat.
  • Return the barbecue sauce-coated tofu to the baking sheet, arranging it again in an even layer.
  • Return to the oven to bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot, room temperature, or cold.
