- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/3 cup cilantro destemmed and chopped
- 1/2 cup yellow onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Slice each avocado in half and remove the seed. Scoop out the flesh into a medium bowl. Use an avocado slicer to make quick work of prepping the avocados.
Use a fork or potato masher to break up the avocado into your preferred consistency.
Add the chopped cilantro, yellow onion, lime juice, salt, and cumin. Stir gently and taste as you go, adjusting the seasoning to suit your taste. Serve right away for the best flavor. If you need to store the guacamole for a short time, cover with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface and keep it in the refrigerator for up to one hour.
