- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 cups water
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
Preheat oven to 350°.
To a large mixing bowl, add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
Stir dry ingredients together then add water, vegetable oil, and vinegar.
Mix just until blended.
Pour equal amounts of batter into two prepared 8" round baking pans. Bake 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
To make a single-layer 9x13 cake, bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
