Everything you love about chocolate chip cookie dough in a rich, creamy, and spreadable frosting! Yields enough to frost 12 cupcakes or 1 doublelayer 8-9 inch cake.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegan butter softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour cooked, if desired
  • 1/4 cup oat milk or other mild-flavored plant milk such as unsweetened almond
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips dairy-free

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  • Add the vanilla extract, salt, flour, and milk. Mix again to incorporate.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Adjust consistency to taste. Adding additional milk will thin the frosting while extra flour will thicken it. Spread on your dessert of choice and serve.
