Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves cut into thin strips

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the watermelon pieces with lemon juice.
  • Combine the chili powder and salt, then sprinkle evenly over the watermelon.
  • Add basil leaves and toss to combine.
  • Cover and set salad in the refrigerator to marinate for 1 hour, or up to a day in advance.
  • Serve chilled.
