- 4 cups watermelon cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves cut into thin strips
In a large mixing bowl, toss the watermelon pieces with lemon juice.
Combine the chili powder and salt, then sprinkle evenly over the watermelon.
Add basil leaves and toss to combine.
Cover and set salad in the refrigerator to marinate for 1 hour, or up to a day in advance.
